You’ll work side-by-side with the founder-developer to scope high-value, bespoke software projects from initial discovery through strategic proposal, and true ownership of your wins.

Roles Overview

We’re looking for a contract-basis Business Development & Solutions Consultant to generate and qualify a pipeline of custom software projects (ERP customizations, integrations, niche apps). In your first three months, you’ll be tasked with uncovering new opportunities. You’ll lead client discovery, feasibility analyses, solution strategy sessions, and formal proposal preparation, then hand off to the founder for technical deep-dive and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Building: Source and qualify high-ticket custom software opportunities (via word-of-mouth, social media, ads, your existing network).

  • Discovery & Feasibility: Conduct client meetings to understand pain points, draft preliminary feasibility studies, and outline solution approaches.

  • Proposal Development: Prepare tailored project proposals and scopes of work that align technical capabilities with business value.

  • Close Support: Partner with the founder to refine technical estimates, participate in pitch sessions, and drive deal closure.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Track your pipeline progress and milestone attainment; aim for RM 200 000+ in open opportunities by month 3.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Proven B2B/SaaS or tech-services sales experience, ideally selling custom software or ERP solutions.

  • Strong client-facing ability: excellent verbal and written communication for discovery and proposal writing.

  • Quick technical aptitude: able to grasp core software concepts and learn Cloudby’s ERP platform.

  • Self-starter mindset: comfortable owning end-to-end business development on a contract basis.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Hands-on ERP customization or integration experience.

  • Established network in Malaysian SMEs, accounting, or tech circles.
