A job almost never goes exactly the way it was planned. The technician finds one more thing that needs fixing. A part gets bought on the way. Someone finishes three units today and the rest tomorrow. You weren’t in the van. So the real question isn’t whether the plan survived contact with the job. It’s whether you still know exactly what happened, and what to do next.
That confidence is what this training series is for. Nine short videos, about 37 minutes in total, filmed on the real screens of the Service module, not a slide deck pretending to be one. Watch it once, and the next time a job goes sideways, you won’t hesitate. You’ll already know.
Nine lessons, in order
Learn the shape of it once
Everything starts with five minutes of plain language before a single click: what an order, a work order, and a visit each mean, who does what between the office and the field, and the four stages every job moves through. Skip this and the rest of the series is just buttons. Watch it first and every screen after will already make sense.
Run one job, start to finish
From there, run a single job the whole way through: create it from a plan, confirm it, record the work, close it, and see the full history right there on the Report tab. Then run the same job again, this time from the phone, with the technician standing on site instead of sitting at a desk. By the end of this pair, the core loop isn’t a mystery anymore. It’s just what you do.
Scale it up: a whole team, a whole day
One job is easy. A full day of them, across a whole team, is where most tools fall apart. This is where the Planner earns its place. Drag a job onto a person’s day. Account for capacity, leave and holidays. Dispatch a job that spans more than one day. This is the moment the system stops feeling like a single-job tool, and starts feeling like the way you’d actually run a week.
When the job doesn’t cooperate
Here’s the part most training skips. A technician finds extra work on site, and you watch the office review it and accept it. A receipt doesn’t match a claim, and you watch it get corrected, or rejected, or sent back until it’s right. A job stops halfway through the day, and you watch it pick up again tomorrow exactly where it left off.
None of it is a workaround. It’s what a real job actually looks like, and once you’ve watched it, none of it can surprise you again.
Watch it at your own pace
Every video has captions, chapters, and the exact list of questions it answers. Need one answer? Jump straight to the minute that gives it to you. Watched straight through, though, it adds up to something bigger than nine separate how-tos: the feeling of being in control of a job, no matter what it does.
